The Opening Game Pass Titles of 2026 Demonstrate Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.

Across the gaming landscape, fans keep sounding the funeral bells for the green team. Xbox was recently outsold by a lesser-known competitor. Platform-specific outlets are now publishing content regarding Sony's platform unprecedentedly. Last year proved to be complete chaos for the Xbox ecosystem. But if we're going solely off the titles headed to the service in 2026, it is apparent that the green gaming company still intends to draw people in with compelling titles on its flagship service.

The Available Now Titles

The two games you can play right now today, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass soon that's truly noteworthy.

Major Titles on the Horizon

On Jan. 13, Game Pass will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that refreshes typical Ubisoft design with a cosmic robbery tale. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village featuring the towering Lady Dimitrescu, which our 2021 review called "the perfect cocktail of frights and fights."

Compelling Indie Titles

But even the smaller games arriving shortly on the service deserve recognition. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, an unjustly ignored roguelite that is incredibly fun, arrives January 7th — and it merits a playthrough regardless of whether you played the first Lost in Random game.

This UK-developed survival title from last year might get its hooks in you within just a quarter of an hour.

Atomfall, a survival title with stealth elements by the developers behind Sniper Elite, is another one to watch. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to look forward to.

A Robust Selection of Games

Ultimately, this isn't a revolutionary update to Game Pass, and they are also not massive exclusive blockbusters that are the sole reason for the service alone. However, this batch of games are rock solid. The lineup provides a solid mix of older titles you may have skipped and new-ish games that lacked the recognition they were due initially — transforming them into excellent choices to get a second chance on Game Pass.

Be prepared to say goodbye to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, however.
