The children's author David Walliams dropped by book publisher.

The comedian

Best-selling young adult author and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.

A representative for the company commented: "After careful consideration, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."

Media sources suggest that the move was taken subsequent to an review of claims about inappropriate behaviour involving women.

The publisher did not confirm the reasons for its decision, adding: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."

A Highly Successful Publishing History

Walliams is one of the UK's most best-selling authors for kids, with sales exceeding in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in five dozen languages.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.

Some of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.

His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works altogether, which features a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.

Television and Literature

His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.

This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive last fall.
