Patrick Bamford Signs With the Blades Despite Leading Abusive Songs About Manager Wilder
Patrick Bamford has signed with Sheffield United only seven months following instigating disrespectful chants targeting the team's coach, Chris Wilder.
The 32-year-old striker, without a club after departing from Leeds United, has agreed to a agreement with the Championship club in difficulty through the winter. Bamford's seven-year spell with Leeds concluded by mutual consent this past summer.
Among the player's last memorable actions while at Leeds was to lead abusive songs about Wilder during the club’s success festivities in April. Currently, the one-cap England international will feature for Wilder as the Blades’ manager seeks to rescue his beloved club out of the relegation zone.
Past Conflict Involving the Striker & Wilder
The pair had history prior to Leeds earned promotion to the top flight the previous campaign while Sheffield United lost the promotion decider by Sunderland. Wilder described the forward as a "muppet" back when the situation was different in 2018-19 and Sheffield United secured automatic promotion while Leeds fell short in the playoffs.

Wilder commented at the time: “Spoke with Patrick recently and I’ve no problem at all with that. I’m not sure regarding the language from a fellow pro! However I appreciated and admired him giving me a call.
“We spent 20 minutes and similarly I spoke to Daniel as well and we had a half-hour chat together and he's a super guy, a class act. Back in my playing days we used to dish it out and accept it and that is an integral part of the game across all levels, including Sunday league. I have absolutely no issue. I'm fine with the situation and I said that to Patrick.”

The forward made 18 games for Leeds last season however the ex- Nottingham Forest, Chelsea FC & Boro striker has faced difficulties with injury in recent years.
