Eulogies Continue for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Remain Under Wraps.

Well beyond 14 days following the shocking loss of celebrated film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues are still paying respects to the couple.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Posting on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, stated he finally felt ready to post publicly about his personal sorrow.

"Enough time has gone by that I can at last articulate my loss into words," shared Elwes, noting that his first meeting with Reiner left him smitten. "When we commenced passing more hours together I realized this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor posted behind-the-scenes footage from the production, remarking that he could not remember "a single day without laughter".

"This story is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Values that Rob held dear. That is part of the many reasons he was the ideal person to helm it," Elwes continued.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, saying: "Asserting that they were a great team would be an understatement. My heart still pangs every time I recall you." He ended with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Fellow Artist

In a separate piece, legendary director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved being with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the lead role.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked wonderfully with his co-stars, and he understood the human predicament of his character," Scorsese noted.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Sealed

Recently, a Los Angeles judge decided to block the disclosure of the Reiners' autopsy reports, at the request from the LAPD.

A judicial mandate put a security hold on the investigation to limit the public release of "any investigative information, documents, files or images" connected to the probe.

The coroner's office had already determined their deaths were the result of homicide, with a public database citing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Fallout and Commentary

In the wake of the killings, public personalities expressed different reactions.

Ex-President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, providing provocative statements that were widely condemned by many individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his criticism to the critics last week. Speaking on his show, Rogan labeled the remarks as "disappointing" and remarked they showed a concerning absence of compassion.

Rogan finished by proposing that an associate should have intervened when the impulse to comment on the death was made.
