Aircraft Carrying US Defense Secretary Forced to Touch Down in UK Because of Fracture in Windshield

An aircraft carrying the US defense secretary was forced to make an unplanned landing in the Britain on Wednesday due to a fissure was found in the plane's windshield, per an announcement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.

"The jet landed based on standard protocol and all individuals on the flight, among them Pete Hegseth, is unharmed," an official representative said in a social media post.

The secretary was coming back from a quick journey to the Belgian capital when the incident occurred.

This occurrence isn't the first time that a American defense plane carrying a high-ranking official has experienced technical problems.

Earlier this year, a American military jet transporting Secretary of State Marco Rubio to Munich was forced to turn back to the US capital after encountering a mechanical problem.
